QPR’s chances of automatic promotion suffered a cruel blow at Brighton & Hove Albion FC this evening as the Seagulls recorded a 2-0 victory.
It was a harsh scoreline on the R’s who had dominated much of the game and created numerous opportunities before the hosts grabbed two goals in the final 13 minutes.

QPR’s leading post-war scorer, Brian Bedford, believes his goal exploits owe much to Alec Stock – his former boss at Loftus Road.
Bedford scored an amazing 180 goals in 284 Rangers appearances after signing from Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic in July 1959.
And ahead of #AlecStockDay this weekend, Bedford said: “It was rather amusing actually because I had been playing for Bournemouth in a deep-lying centre-forward role. I hadn’t scored as many goals as I would have liked as I was not in the right positions to capitalise on all the good work done by other people. In fact, I never previously scored more than 15 times in a season.”
